How does this test work?
| When you run our speed test, you are going
to download a 500 kilobyte file from us. The time it takes
this file to go from our webserver to your computer is the speed at
which you downloaded it from us (size/time). This is a very
accurate test to show you your speed because it basically is testing
the speed from your computer to the very end of our network.
Things that can throw this test off are: if you have multiple computers doing other things on the internet while you try to test, downloading music or other files while running this test, if you have a virus or spyware on your computer your results may be lower than they should, and large amounts of network traffic will put you to the lower side of your speed package. |
